Family Caregiving Entrepreneurship Curriculum
Family Caregiving Entrepreneurship Curriculum project is a collaborative initiative of NC REAL and Piedmont Community College. The project will develop, enhance, and implement replicable health care training options for allied health caregivers including nursing aides, medication aides and technicians, and monitor technicians. The new curriculum will include core instructional components plus a selection from two innovative workforce development tracks: 1) Health Care Career Employment and 2) Health Care Entrepreneurship.
The project will transform the delivery and options for those seeking caregiving careers in the Piedmont Triad health care industry. The uniqueness of this project it that it allows individuals the opportunity to understand career options and career ladder opportunities early in their academic studies, to select from multiple career instructional areas, to provide career counseling and support services to assists participants in finding a health care jobs, and provide an option for entrepreneurial development.
