Hop on the BUS! High School Business Plan—Fifth Year Will Be the Best!

Hop on the BUS! the state-wide high school business plan competition has just kicked off its fifth year. The Citi Foundation has generously funded an expansion of the competition. There are several new features this year that will make it better than ever. This year the competition will be held twice—once in the fall and once in the spring. This will make it easier for teachers to incorporate it into their course plans. There is also a new website. The new site will be easier to use and will contain a host of new activities and resources to students and teachers. These resources will include several tools for incorporating financial literacy into the competition. The new site is www.hoponthebus.org. The first round and registration is due September 24, 2010.

Hop on the BUS! High School Business Plan Competition is offered through a partnership of North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, NC Rural Center, NC Council of Economic Education and NC REAL Enterprises.
