Haywood CC Instructor's Research Extols Entrepreneurship

Haywood Community College (North Carolina) Office Systems Technology Instructor, Joseph Fox, recently presented his research paper entitled The Community College System: Economic Development Through Collaborative Efforts, at the thirteenth annual graduate research symposium sponsored by Western Carolina University. Fox examined the collaborative efforts of HCC and North Carolina Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning (REAL). The REAL Program has been instrumental in working with dislocated workers and others who must turn to entrepreneurship as a viable means of supporting themselves and their families due to the overwhelming number of manufacturing jobs lost throughout Western North Carolina.
